Northern Thunderbird Air has a Crew Chief position available at our Vancouver and Prince George maintenance facility

Job Description:


Report to the Director of Maintenance and Base Engineer ; this position will be responsible for the following duties, but not limited to:
Inspect, repair and maintain company aircraft in a safe manner abiding by the CAR’s and Northern Thunderbird MPM and MCM under the direct supervision of the Base Engineer
Plan and prioritize maintenance on assigned aircraft in conjunction with the Base Engineer and the maintenance planning department
Overseeing the work of engineers and apprentice’s instructing them in company policy, procedures, standards and professional work practices

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Experience on the types of aircraft operated by Northern Thunderbird Air is required
Minimum of 5 years experience with Valid Transport Canada M1 license
Must have previous leadership experience and possess strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
Must have a professional work ethic with excellent mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills
The ability to train and encourage, junior engineers and apprentices
Knowledgeable understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations
Ability to acquire a restricted airside pass and airport vehicle operators pass

Valid Driver’s license

Northern Thunderbird Air Inc. has an immediate opening for an AME at our Vancouver Maintenance Facility

Qualifications and Required Skills

Current Human Factors Certificate
Current Transport Canada M1 License
Knowledgeable understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations
Valid Driver’s license
Ability to work individually if required or in a crew situation
Current Restricted Area Airport Security Pass with AVOP an asset but not required.
Experience using a computer based maintenance tracking system IE. Winair systems
Experience on B1900, King Air Aircraft and PT6 engines an asset
Basic sheet metal skills and Avionics troubleshooting an asset
Must have a professional work ethic with excellent mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills while paying attention to detail

Job Description

Inspect repair and maintain company aircraft in a safe manner abiding by the CAR’s and Northern Thunderbird MCM and MPM under the direct supervision of the company’s Crew Chief , reporting directly to the YVR Base Engineer and Director of Maintenance
Completion of all maintenance including scheduled and unscheduled tasks. Applicants must be available for shift work and occasional travel between our maintenance bases.

First Officers and Captains on our Beechcraft King Air 350 and 1900 

Northern Thunderbird Air – also known as NT Air – has been providing charter and scheduled services to BC and Yukon since 1971. Due to expansion, we are accepting resumes for First Officers and Captains on our Beechcraft King Air 350 and 1900 aircraft for our Prince George, Smithers and Vancouver bases.
Minimum Qualifications

Canadian Commercial Pilots License with IATRA
1500 hours total time
500 hours multi engine time
250 hours mountain flying experience
Ability to apply for a RAIC pass
BE-30, BE-02 (C and D) Type rating, or Pro-Line 21 experience an asset
Professional work ethic and good interpersonal skills

Job Description

You will be a valued crewmember on our advanced King Air 350 Medevac Aircraft or 1900 Airliner which operate throughout British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon, and the Northwest Territories.  Scheduling will vary based on the aircraft type.
